At a young age, BG was always involved in meal preparation around the house and at family gathering. This is when the seed was planted.
Fresh out of high school, BG Burnette became the asst manager at a local pizzeria. It was during his time here that his passion for providing a top notch culinary experience was born.
In early 2013, Chef BG teamed with another local chef which lead to the creation of the Bistro at the Carnegie. As his partner moved on, BG continued to develop the Bistro, expanding catering services, “popup” lunches during the week advertised on social media as well as frequent appearances at local taprooms, like Tap on Main and Jarfly Brewing, providing upscale dinner selections.
Currently Chef BG is not only owner/operator of the Bistro, but also is the banquet/sous chef with Somerset Culinary Company.
Additional he is providing healthy meal prep service (Go Gourmet) for those looking to consume high quality meals that assists them in achieving their fitness and nutritional goals.
Chef BG is a graduate of Somerset Community College’s Culinary Program. While attending, Chef BG rose to president of the college’s Culinary Club.Chef BG has been married for over 11 years to his beautiful wife, Morgan. They have 2 children together. Chef BG is heavily involved in the Somerset community with various charitable organizations. Chef BG is also a huge advocate for Autism Awareness as his son is affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
